Abstract

439,869. Pneumatic tyres. LACOMBLEZ, A., 23, Rue Breydel, Brussels. March 12, 1934, No. 7843. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 12, 1934]. [Classes 144 (i) and 144 (ii)] Air-tubes are coated, or lined, with a layer of spongy rubber or other gelatinous substance which may be arranged at the tread portion only, or extend completely around the tube. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the spongy rubber 3 is fitted in a rubber pocket 6 at the tread portion. In case of puncture as by a nail 5, the hole may be closed by injecting spongy rub ber or solution, or both, by means of a syringe 12, Fig. 5 which is preferably fitted with a removable nozzle 11.
