Abstract
422,945. Roller bearings. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN, 17, Artillerigatan, Gothenburg, Sweden. April 16, 1934, No. 11453. Convention date, April 24, 1933. [Class 12 (i)] [See also Group XXII] In bearings for rolling-mills, the roll neck is supported by a bearing to take radial loads in combination with a separate bearing to take axial thrust, this bearing being capable of movement in a direction perpendicular to the roll axis. The roller bearing 4 for taking radial loads is held in position by a pad 10 and adjusting screw 9. This bearing is self aligning by rocking on the rib 13. To the casing of this bearing are secured guide lugs which allow the thrust bearing 15 to move vertically but take up axial thrust. The nut 23 and ring 19 form a labyrinth seal for this bearing.
