Abstract
395,871. Filters. HAAS, E., 88, Obere Birkenwaldstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. July 7, 1932, No. 19278. [Class 46.] An inner layer e of finely divided filtering material and two porous plates c, d are clamped between the grooved base of a cup-shaped casing 1 and the coverplate b, which is grooved on its lower face. The grooves are radial and circular and communicate with inlet and outlet openings i, j. The parts are clamped together by a ring g which screws into a threaded part of the casing. The porous plates may be of stone or burnt or baked clay and the layer c may consist of one or more of the following substances :-soot or other form of carbon, nickel oxide, silver, sulphur, nickel, tin, zinc.
