Abstract

383,142. Cigarette-making machines. UNIVERSELLE CIGARETTENMASCHINENFABRIK J. C. MœLLER & CO., 48, Zwickauerstrasse, and MœLLER, C. W., 2, Weisser Hirsch, Am Hochwald, both in Dresden, Germany. March 8, 1932, No. 6970. [Class 130.] Short tobacco is inserted between layers of ordinary tobacco on a conveyer belt. The ordinary tobacco is discharged from drums 2, 2<1>, 2<11> in hoppers 1, by picker rollers 7, and falls in streams 3 on to a conveyer belt 4 which feeds a filling trough B. The short tobacco is fed from a receptacle 1<1> between the hoppers 1, by a spiked roller 9, and deposited on the surface of the tobacco already deposited on the belt 4 by the first hopper 1.
