Abstract

366,151. Rotary printing-machines, SANDERSON, H. W., Collsels, Denham. Buckinghamshire, and WALL PAPER MANUFACTURERS, Ltd., 125, High Holborn, London. July 22, 1931, No. 31742/30. [Class 100 (ii).] The web 10 is printed between printing cylinders 8 and yieldable impression cylinders 9, rotating in frictional contact with the pressure cylinder 1. Pinion 2 secured to this cylinder is driven from the shaft 3 through the idler 5 whilst pinion 6 is driven direct. The gear ratios are adjusted so that the printing rollers 8 slip over the surface of the web. The pressure cylinder has a rigid surface whilst the rollers 9 are yieldable.
