Abstract
348,855. Columns. BAUER, B., 51, Mariahilferstrasse, Vienna. April 25, 1930, No. 12860. [Class 20 (iv).] Superposed concrete columns are strengthened at the joints by an independent wire winding 8, Fig. 1, or by tubular members 10, 12, Fig. 4, in which the member 10 is welded to the bars 1 and to spacing bars 11 which are also welded to the member 12. Permanent moulds 9 for beams are supported by brackets 4, 5, Fig. 1, secured by eyes 3 to the bars 1, and by plates 14, Fig. 4, welded to the member 12. Screws or rivets may be used instead of welding.
