Abstract
333,476. Branzani, L. Nov. 19, 1929. Screw propellers.-A screw propeller blade 6 is generated by a straight line constantly normal to the propeller axis and in contact therewith along a cylindrical helix 2, the outer end of the line being limited by a curve traced out by its intersection 7 on a, sphere 3 having its centre at 0' on the axis of the propeller and of a radius O<1>, A. The rear edge is formed by a curve joining the line 2, 7, and the blades have a dix ratio of nearly one. The propeller is stated to be suited for use at the bow of a vessel.
