Abstract

293,545. Crosfield & Sons, Ltd., J., and Mathieson, C. June 7, 1927. Sliding hinges.-In a box having a lid hinged thereto at one end by a pin and slot connection and having at its other end a lip or projection beneath which the lid can slide when it is turned into its closed position, the lid B at its hinged end is provided with a downwardly projecting flange b<4> adapted to engage the underside of the box A and hold the lid in an inclined open, position so that a mirror b attached to its inner side may be conveniently used. As shown, pins a<1> at the sides, of the box engage depressions b<2> formed in the side flanges of the lid and the lid is held closed by the lip or projection a<2> formed in one with the upper side of the box.
