291,063. Schinzel, C., (Assignee of Klasternigg, R.). May 25, 1927, [Convention date]. Justifying type.-Printing plates are produced by electrolytic, action on gelatine, albumen, or similar colloid layers containing ingredients such as hydroquinone or other photographic developers, chromic salts, ferric salts, and catalytic or hygroscopic salts, which under electrolytic action produce tanning or detanning agents. The text or design is applied in insulating ink either direct to the colloid layer or on a conducting paper or metal surface pressed into contact with the colloid. Specifications 186,255, and 261,840, [Class 98 (i), Photographic cameras &c.], are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that in preparing these plates justification may be effected by repeated printing, photographically, or by using elastic surfaces which may be used to produce type-bars on zinc or aluminium strips. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as aecepted.
