Rotary cylindrical valves.-A multiple-way or directing valve comprises a casing having two or more discharge ways or ports a<4>, a<5>, a correspondingly ported liner b, and a rotary cylindrical valve member c with an open end and a single lateral port c<1>. A perforated diaphragm c<2> is formed at the upper end of the valve member and serves for partially balancing the valve axially. Owing to the single part c<1> the valve member is unbalanced laterally and is pressed by fluid pressure in the direction of the closed discharge port.
