Abstract
286,736. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. March 10, 1927, [Convention date]. Addition to 286,233. Processes employing light-sensitive dye-components.-A light-sensitive layer containing a salt of 1 : 2-naphthoquinone-4-sulphonic acid, as in the parent Specification, is developed after exposure by means of an alkaline solution of a. material which contains an acid methylene or methyl group, such as trinitrotoluene, acetoacetic ester, cyanacetamide, methylphenylpyrazolone and resorcinol. The developer may be incorporated in the sensitive layer, in which case the image is produced by subjecting the exposed layer to ammonia vapour. The large number of developers available renders it possible to obtain images in nearly every tint of the colour scale.
