Abstract

286,114. Babcock & Wilcox, Ltd., (Babcock & Wilcox Co.). April 19, 1927. Spray burners.-A sprayer for liquid fuel comprises a nozzle having a tip 25 held thereon by a screw cap 27 provided with a cylindrical opening into which projects a stem 29 to form an unobstructed annular discharge orifice 28, ducts 24 within the nozzle leading to an annular cavity 23, and ducts 30 in the tip 25 leading from the cavity and inclined inwardly towards and tangentially to the orifice. The area of the outlet orifice is the same as that of the entrance ducts 30.
