Abstract
262,549. Greenwood, R. A., and Hanson, K. C. Oct. 5, 1925. Traps.-In traps having a liquid seal in a V-shaped or angular part and a byepass d to prevent siphoning away of the liquid by suction at the outlet, a substantially horizontal portion e is provided in the outlet side, terminated by a low wall or extensions f, so as to retain an adequate supply of liquid in the trap and minimize the loss due to the siphoning. The bye-pass d leads from the inlet side of the trap c to the upper part of the limb e. According to the Provisional Specification the bye-pass may be an internal or external pipe and the limb for retaining the liquid may be. upwardly inclined.
