Abstract

261,320. Burrows, C., and Thompson, T. E. Aug. 6, 19'26. Signalling-gloves.-In a traffic signalling-glove having an electric lamp and battery with contacts therefor on the thumb and fingers, a gauntlet 1, having on its inner side a pocket 2 for a battery 3. is provided of large dimensions so that the battery does not incommode the wearer. The lamp is arranged in a metal cup 4 having a lens 5, which may be coloured and removable, the lamp terminals and the flange 6 of the holder 7 being covered by a strip of leather 8. Contacts 9 are provided on the thumb and first finger or on the first and second fingers. In a glove for use by motorists, the thumb terminal is arranged at the back thereof, or one terminal is arranged on the back of the first finger and the other on the front of the second finger. A reflector for the lamp may be provided and a ring of white material may be placed round it. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 208,301.
