253,307. Armitage, J. I. July 30, 1925. Joint-making packing. - A joint is made between the flared ends of two pipes H, J of unequal diameter by means of an inner nipple C on to which the pipes are drawn, said nipple C, Fig. 1, comprising two parts L, B separated by a washer A. In connecting a pipe F, Fig. 2, to a screwed fitting M, the top half L of the washer is removed.
