Abstract
A projecting mechanism includes a carrier member 10, a cantilever device 2 having a lever member 20 with one end portion 21 rotatably attached to the carrier member with a pivot joint member 11 allowing the lever member to be rotated relative to the carrier member. A pivot arm device 3 has an arm member 30 is rotatably coupled to another end portion of the lever member with a pivot joint member 23 allowing the arm member to be rotated relative to the lever member. A projector 50 is rotatably attached to another end portion of the arm member allowing the projector to be rotated relative to the arm member.
Description
PROJECTOR WITH PIVOT SUPORT ARM MECHANISM The invention relates to a projecting mechanism or projector pivotable or rotatable to any suitable or selected angular position for allowing various data or images or videos or information to be 5 easily and quickly and readily shown or displayed with the projector.
Typical projectors or projecting mechanisms are normally supported on the tables or other supporting surfaces for projecting and showing or displaying the data or images or videos or information of various mobile devices, tablets, screens, laptops, notebooks, or the like onto a screen, a wall or other supporting boards or surfaces, or the like.
However, the projector or the projecting mechanism may not be suitably pivoted or rotated to a suitable or selected angular position such that various data or images or videos or information may not be easily shown or displayed or projected onto the screens, the walls or the other supporting boards or surfaces, or the like with the projector.
It is accordingly an object of the present invention to provide a projecting mechanism pivotable or rotatable to any suitable or selected angular position for allowing various data or images or videos or information to be easily and quickly and readily shown or displayed with the projector.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
According to the invention there is provided a projecting mechanism comprising:-a carrier member, a cantilever device including a lever member having a first end portion rotatably attached to the carrier member with a pivot joint member for allowing the lever member to be rotated relative to the carrier member to any selected position, a pivot arm device including an arm member having a first end portion rotatably coupled to a second end portion of the lever member with a pivot joint member for allowing the arm member to be rotated relative to the lever member to any selected position, and a projector rotatably attached to a second end portion of the 10 arm member for allowing the projector to be rotated relative to the arm member to any selected position and for allowing various data or images or videos or information to be easily and quickly and readily shown or displayed with the projector to any suitable or selected or predetermined or required walls or objects or the like at 15 suitable or selected or predetermined angular positions.
The projector is preferably selected from a digital light processing (DLP), a liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS), or a liquid crystal display (LCD) or the like. The lever member may be rotatable relative to the carrier member for less than one hundred and eighty (180) degrees. The arm member may be rotatable relative to the lever member for three hundred and sixty (360) degrees. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a projecting mechanism; FIG. 2 is a side plan schematic view illustrating the operation 25 of the projecting mechanism; and FIGS. 3 and 4 are further plan schematic views similar to FIG. 2, illustrating the opening operation of the projecting mechanism.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a projecting mechanism comprises a carrier body or carrier member 10 for attaching or mounting or securing to a ceiling, a wall, or other supporting boards or surfaces 90, or the like with screws or bolts or catches or latches or fasteners (not illustrated) or the like, and including a pivot joint member 11, such as a hinge, a pivot joint, or the like.
The projecting mechanism further includes a cantilever device 2 having a lever member 20, and the lever member 20 includes one or first end portion 21 pivotally or rotatably attached or mounted or secured or coupled to the carrier member 10 with the pivot joint member 11 for allowing the lever member 20 to be pivoted or rotated relative to the carrier member 10 to any suitable or selected angular position, best shown in FIG. 2. The lever member 20 is allowed to be pivoted or rotated relative to the carrier member 10 for less than one hundred and eighty (180) degrees.
The projecting mechanism further includes a pivot arm device 3 having an arm member 30, and the arm member 30 includes one or first end portion 31 pivotally or rotatably attached or mounted or secured or coupled to another or second end portion 22 of the lever member 20 with another pivot joint member 23 or the like for allowing the arm member 30 to be pivoted or rotated relative to the lever member 20 to any suitable or selected angular position, best shown in FIG. 3. The arm member 30 is allowed to be pivoted or rotated relative to the lever member 20 for three hundred and sixty (360) degrees.
The projecting mechanism further includes a projector 50 pivotally or rotatably attached or mounted or secured or coupled to another or second end portion 32 of the arm member 30 with another pivot joint member 33 or the like for allowing the projector 50 to be pivoted or rotated relative to the arm member 30 to any suitable or selected angular position, best shown in FIG. 4. The projector 50 may be selected from a digital light processing (DLP), a liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS), or a liquid crystal display (LCD) projector 50.
In operation, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the carrier member 10 may first be attached or mounted or secured to the ceiling, the wall, or the other supporting boards or surfaces 90, or the like with screws or bolts or catches or latches or fasteners (not illustrated) or the like. The lever member 20 may then be pivoted or rotated relative to the pivot joint member 11 to any suitable or selected angular position, best shown in FIG. 2. The arm member 30 may then be pivoted or rotated relative to the lever member 20 to any suitable or selected angular position, best shown in FIG. 3. The projector 50 may then be pivoted or rotated relative to the arm member 30 to any suitable or selected angular position, best shown in FIG. 4, and thus for allowing the projector 50 to suitably project and display or show the data or images or videos or information to any suitable or selected or predetermined or required walls or objects or the like.
Accordingly, the projecting mechanism is pivotable or rotatable to any suitable or selected angular position for allowing various data or images or videos or information to be easily and quickly and readily shown or displayed with the projector.
Claims (4)
- C LAI NIS:- 1. A projecting mechanism comprising: a carrier member, a cantilever device including a lever member having a first end 5 portion rotatably attached to the carrier member with a pivot joint member for allowing the lever member to be rotated relative to the carrier member to any selected position, a pivot arm device including an arm member having a first end portion rotatably coupled to a second end portion of the lever member with a pivot joint member for allowing the arm member to be rotated relative to the lever member to any selected position, and a projector rotatably attached to a second end portion of the arm member for allowing the projector to be rotated relative to the arm member to any selected position.
- 2. A projecting mechanism as claimed in claim 1, wherein the projector is selected from a digital light processing (DLP), a liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS), or a liquid crystal display (LCD).
- 3. A projecting mechanism as claimed in claim 1, wherein the lever member is rotatable relative to the carrier member for less 20 than one hundred and eighty (180) degrees.
- 4. A projecting mechanism as claimed in claim 1, wherein the arm member is rotatable relative to the lever member for three hundred and sixty (360) degrees.
