POLE
The invention relates to a telescopic underwater inspection camera pole which is intended to support a camera or photographic device specifically for use underwater inspection scenarios The structure can be hand held or fixed and is intended to be used for underwater inspection anywhere convenient.
The telescopic underwater inspection camera pole is manufactured complete with a universal mounting bracket engineered to be suitable for mounting all models of underwater camera.
An object of this invention is to provide a telescopic underwater inspection camera pole which can be used to manipulate an underwater inspection camera through a flexible range of motion and is intended, if required, to be fully mobile. The invention can be used primarily to view, photograph or collect video footage of fish (e.g. Koi Carp) in their underwater environment where delicate and controlled inspection is required. The intention of this invention is to offer a unique method of underwater diagnosis where the operator has a broad and flexible range of motion. The invention is telescopic and adjustable and is specifically intended to be suitable for all fish pond constructions.
Whilst primarily intended for use in fish ponds this invention could also be used to mount an underwater camera or underwater photographic device for any type of underwater inspection, pictures or video surveillance suitable.
Examples of industrial use for the underwater camera stand include: Close inspection of fish and their environment for the Fish Farming industry.
Ichthyologists can use the telescopic underwater inspection camera pole to mount an underwater camera or underwater photographic device suitable for diagnosing fish ailments without the need to remove the fish from its environment; thus eliminating stress on the fish.
As a mobile unit for underwater hull inspection at boat yards and harbours.
Preferably the telescopic underwater inspection camera pole is made from non corrosive metal or plastic rnateriais, but instead it may be made from a combination of any materials suitable for its construction. The telescopic underwater inspection camera pole can be manufactured in any size to suit the desired location and requirements.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which Figure 1 offers a detailed view of the telescopic underwater inspection camera pole As shown in Figure 1 the telescopic underwater inspection camera pole comprises of a multi part adjustable telescopic pole detailed by the main hand grip 4, the second extension arm 3 and the primary extension arm 2 Figure 1 shows a universal camera mount bracket 1 suitable for mounting all types of underwater camera.
Figure 1 shows a cable handling drum 5, which is intended to facilitate a standard cable drum. Figure 6 also shows cable support rings 6 used for supporting the cable between the camera device and the cable handling drum.
The telescopic underwater inspection camera pole can have an underwater cameral fixed to the universal bracket 1. The elevation of the camera is adjusted manually. The desired length of the telescopic underwater inspection camera pole is adjusted manually. The device can then be used for the intricate and delicate inspection of fish and their environment, including Koi Carp, without removing the fish from the water. The telescopic underwater inspection camera pole is especially useful for early the diagnosis of prospective ailments and underwater environmental issues.
The telescopic underwater inspection camera pole can be used in boat yards for hull inspection before dry dock. An underwater inspection cameral could be fixed to the universal bracket 1. The elevation of the camera is manipulated manually through a broad range of motion offering a wide range of close inspection.
The telescopic underwater inspection camera pole can be located at a fish farm or fish retailers for monitoring of stock and conditions, and for monitoring the fish for infections and for demonstrating conditions to prospective clients An underwater inspection cameral could be fixed to the universal bracket 1.
The elevation of the camera is manipulated manually through a broad range of motion offering a wide range of close inspection. i
