Abstract
A waterproof sequential countdown timer may be worn on the wrist or arm of a wearer. Said device may be coloured and nay be elasticated. A programmable LCD unit 2, see figures 2 and 3, may be provided with a fixing clip 4. Said LCD unit may be provided with a series of digits 1. Said device may have a plurality of sequential time periods programmed into it in minutes or seconds. At the end of each period an alarm, which maybe audible, visual, vibrating or a combination thereof, alerts the wearer to the fact that the period has elapsed. The device is intended for use in sports training or events.
Description
Description
This invention relates to a device for counting down sequential periods of time.
When an individual wishes to be alerted to continuing periods of time, a sequential countdown timer allows periods of time (set in minutes or seconds) to countdown to the point which an alarm (beep and/or vibrate and/or flash) alerts the user as each fixed time period passes.
Conventional countdown timers that do exist tend to be embedded technologies in stopwatches rather than as a stand alone timer/product.
The accompanying drawings will help to describe by example: Figure 1 shows an elasticated band with an LCD screen Figure 2 shows the LCD screen which pops out' Figure 3 shows a side profile of an LCD screen with a clip fastening In figure 1, the four, double digit LCD screen sits inside a frame on the elastic band and can be popped out' (figure 3) and clipped onto the user.
The LCD is a sequential timer (figure 2) which can be set to either seconds (0-99) or minutes (0-99). As each timer counts down, once it reaches zero it will either beep, flash and/or vibrate depending on the setting before moving onto the second timer and so on the third and then fourth, before repeating the process if so desired.
The sequential countdown timer is waterproof.
The sequential timers elasticated wrist/arm band will be adjustable and multi-coloured: pink, blue, black, red, green and white.
Claims (4)
- Claims I. A sequential countdown timer on an elasticated wristlarm band comprising an attachment means for attaching to the LCD unit to the person via a clip (figure 3), with both beep and flash or vibrate and flash to alert as each individual timer counts down to zero before moving onto the next counter.
- 2. A sequential countdown timer according to claim 1, which can be set from 0-99 minutes (option 1) or 0-99 seconds (option 2).
- 3. A sequential countdown timer according to claim I can be set to either, beep and flash' (option A) or vibrate and flash (option B) or combination of all three, beep, flash and vibrate (option C).
- 4. A sequential countdown timer according to claim 1 which is waterproof.
