Abstract

A golf training aid provides a visual indication of the correct grip pressure to apply when holding a golf club. The training aid comprises a standard golf grip A with a sealed butt end B and a second end C sealed with a light gauge rubber or polythene. In use, the rubber or polythene bellows out upon the application of excessive grip pressure.

AS A GOLF TEACHER I KNOW THAT ONE OF THE
MOST COMMON FAULTS WITH THE
RECREATIONAL GOLFER IS GRIPPING THE CLUB
TOO TIGHT.I THEREFORE MADE IT MY MISSION
TO CREATE SOMETHING SIMPLE THAT WOULD
HELP THE WOULD BE "TIGER" TO BECOME
MORE PROFICIENT AND RELAXED WHILST
HOLDING A GOLF CLUB.
A S TANDARD GOLF GRIP (FIG 1.A) WITH THE BUTT END SEALED (FIG 1 B) AND THE OTHER
END COVERED AND SEALED WITH A LIGHT
GAUGE RUBBER/POLYTHENE (FIG 1.C) SQUEEZE THE GRIP (FIG 2.A) UNTIL THE RUBBER/POLYTHENE STARTS TO BELLOW (FIG 2.C).THIS WOULD GIVE THE USER A VISUAL
INDICATION AND PROPER FEEL FOR THE
CORRECT PRESSURE FOR HOLDING A GOLF CLUB.
