Abstract
Wrapping paper 2 for gifts for pet animals is edible. It may be made of flour, water and food essences/flavourings stimulating to the pet, eg beet chicken, catnip, vegetable, basil, spinach, carrot. The consistency and temperature for heating the dough must be such that the formed paper is strong enough to be foldable without tearing. It may bear 'sell by' and 'eat by' dates and graphics 1 made by edible dyes.
Description
DESCRIPTION
EDIBLE WRAPPING PAPER FOR PETS
Invention: The invention relates to edible wrapping paper for pets. Pet owners often wrap presents for their pets for Xmas, birthdays or just as general treats for their dog, cat, rabbit, hamster or guinea pig.
Problem: But it seems pointless wrapping the presents or treats because the wrapping paper contains chemicals or ink dyes that are harmful to the pets so the pets can't unwrap or open their own present.
The worry too is that rabbits and other pets typically try to eat most paper so it could potentially be harmful to them to eat.
Owners would have to grab the wrapped present, probably being sniffed by the curious pet with a strong sense of smell, off them and open the treat or squidgy ball in front of them.
Thus the owner opens up the present defeating the reason for wrapping it in the first place - to hide the surprise present and let the family pet enjoy the whole gift experience.
What invention does: The invention makes it possible to allow pets to open by eating through the wrapping paper to get to the present. In effect that makes it a double present. It also helps the pet interact in a game to get to the real present so is fun to indulge in for the pet and fun to watch for the owner.
Essential feature: The wrapping paper is made of flour, water and a essence/flavourir4 or enhancer of vegetable, beef, chicken, basil, spinach, carrot - a selection of food flavourings that different pets typically like.
The consistency and temperature for heating the 'dough' must be just right so that the formed paper is strong enough so it won't rip when folded. As welt as not ripping it must be able to fold. It also must have a 'sell by' and 'eat by' date on it so that it is not off when the pet eats it.
Important extra feature: Graphics/pictures of whatever your pet is, is printed on the wrapping paper.
For example a rabbit or hutch or lettuce or carrot if you have a rabbit, a dog or kennel if you have a dog a cat flap or cat if you have cat. This is also a pleasure and interaction for the owner to buy because it relates to his individual pet.
Description: The invention will be sheets of wrapping paper in a selection of sizes. Typically Al to A4 to wrap up squidgy toys, doggy treats, cat scratcher, dog chew stick or rabbit foraging stick.
