Abstract

A hand held carrying device for panel products comprises a body portion in the form of a substantially rectangular frame 3, two or more spaced apart hooked bars (2) depending from the lower side of the frame facing in one direction and a single lifting handle (4) secured to the upper part of the frame facing in the opposite direction. Preferably the device is formed from flat section material.

2340476 CARRYING DEVICE This Invention relattes 4- 4-1, .... c handling or
panel materials, e.g. fencing panels.
Fencing panels are well known and or many different types. They are available in standard sizes from six feet wide and three feet high, rising in increments of one root, to a height of six reet. The maximum standard height and width of a panel being six feet by six reet.
Panels, because or their size and weight, are awkward to carry, usually requiring two people. The difficulty in recruiting help maybe subject to cost or availability.
An object of this invention is to provide a carrying device which enables one person to carry a panel easily, and without assistance.
Accordingly, to the present invention a pane[ carrying device comprises a substantially rectangular frame member and at least one curved panel support member arranged at the lower side or the rectangle and a handle arranged at the upper side or the rectangle and facing in the opposite direction to the panel support member.
Preferably, the panel support member comprises two hooked bars spaced evenly apart on the outer frame members and the handle is arranged on a central frame member.
A specific example or the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which; Fig 1. Shows the device in it's entirety.
Fig 2. Shows the device in use, end elevation Fig 3. Shows the device in use, front elevation Referring to the drawing Fig 1, the device comprises of two hooked bars 2 spaced evenly apart, and fixed at two supporting bars 3 upon which a handle 4 is attached at 90 degrees.
Referring to the drawing Fig 2, the device is placed underneath the pane[ 5 and with your spare hand placed on top or the panel 5 it can be picked up via the handle 4.
Referring to the drawing Fig 3, the device can be seen placed underneath the panel 5. It is made up or a rectangular frame, and comprises of two booked bars 2 spaced evenly apart and rixed at two supporting bars 3 upon which a handle 4 is attached, and enables stability and comfort when lifting the panel 5 via the handle 4.
