Dust, excluding; oil, retaining. - A centre pivot, bearing between a vehicle and bogie has a ring of balls 1 in an annular chamber in a boss 2 depending from the upper plate 3 into a groove 6 :n a boss 5 on the lower plate 4. The bevelled edges of flexible laminated metal rings 7, 9 fixed to the plate 3 or to the boss 5 exclude dust from and retain lubricant in the bearing. The flexibility of the rings 7, 9 is increased by slits 13, the slits in adjacent laminations being out of line.
