Abstract
A plurality of units each consisting of three light emitting diodes of red, yellowish green and blue, for example, disposed concentratedly are arranged in a lattice form, and an electric time series pulse having varying intensity and width is applied to each light emitting diode so as to control light emission intensity and emitted colors. According to this device, electrodes can be disposed concentratedly on one side and a multilayer interconnection can be provided on a flexible insulating substrate by vacuum deposition or plating. This makes it possible to wind a display portion, which cannot be obtained by conventional display devices.
