A clutch driven plate (10) for releasable clamped engagement between an engine flywheel (17) and a clutch cover pressure plate (18) includes a hub (12) and carrier plate (13) supporting annular coaxial friction facings (14, 15) having different superficial areas e.g. by making one facing of greater radial width than the other facing. <IMAGE>
