Abstract

A distress signalling device comprises an inflatable chamber 1, such as a balloon, provided with a retaining connecting member 4 and associated with a container 2 containing compressed fluid. The inflatable chamber 1 is disposed in a cover 3 which is self- openable under the action of inflation of the chamber 1. The fluid container 2 comprises a breakable ampulla disposed in a protective sleeve 9 and located inside the inflatable chamber 1. <IMAGE>
