Abstract

2,3,4,7,8,9-Substituted octahydropyrazinopyrimidinones and acid addition salts thereof as described of the formula: <IMAGE> where R1 is H, C1-10 alkyl, C3-8 cycloalkyl, C7-9 aralkyl or phenyl (optionally substituted by halogen, C1-5 alkyl, C1-5 alkoxy, C1-3 alkylenedioxy, -CF3 or -CN); R2 and R3 independently are H, C1-3 alkyl or phenyl (optionally substituted by halogen, C1-3 alkyl, C1-3 alkoxy, C1-3 alkylthio or -CF3); R4 is H, C1-5 alkyl or phenyl; and R5 is H, halogen, -OCH3 or -CF3. Processes for preparing these compounds and pharmaceutical compositions containing them are also described.
