Abstract

163. Hosken, F. J. S. Jan. 3. Wind-screens.-A detachable s c r e e n for tramcars comprises a three-sided glazed frame F fixed above the dashfront N by brackets 1 and provided with a roof part A, B extending to the canopy of the car. The roof part B is hinged to fold back on to the part A so as not to obstruct access to the top deck, and there may be a further section similarly hinged to the section B. The section C of the screen is offset to form a recess D for the brake handle.
