23,963. Harrison, F. W., and Lepard & Smiths. Oct. 22. Hand-bags.-An envelope, paper bag, &c, has a V-shaped flap b adapted to be closed by a cord c passed through holes d in the front of the envelope, over the flap, and through coincident holes e at the top of the envelope, forming a carrying-loop f. The holes d may be reinforced by washers g, as shown, or they may be pierced through a strip of stiffening-material secured inside the front of the envelope.
