6027. Kuivala, J. A. March 11. Structures formed of slabs and concrete.-In a building of the kind formed of inner and outer slabs camped together and with or without concrete filling, the walls are strengthened by metallic studding 13, Fig. 4, or by moulding concrete studding in situ by means of slabs or boards 40, Fig. 12; horizontal beams, which may be reinforced, are also cast on slabs 70 in the wall. The floor slabs 24 are supported on concrete girders 20, which are filled with concrete reinforced in any suitable manner; or the girders may be cast between side slabs 49, 50, Fig. 8, and with an internal trussing as shown in Fig. 6. The ceiling slabs may be supported by hangers 29, suspended from the girder reinforeement and having hooked lateral extensions at the bottom. Fig. 9 shows the lintel slabs, and Fig. 10 shows an adjustable wall-tie.
