Heels; heel protectors.-A rubber pad for the heels of boots and shoes is made with an annular recess M following the contour of the heel, and having a central boss F, as shown in Figs. 1 and 3. Into this recess a plate H, perforated by holes K, is forced, and corresponding perforations L are made in the rubber pad to allow screws or nails to be inserted, the heads of the screws &c. bearing against the plate H and thus clamping the flange E against the heel.
