Abstract
166,403. Kahr, A. May 14, 1920. Extrusion machines. - Relates to extrusion presses for making closed hollow blocks of the type in which a rotary core b is arranged within the mouthpiece a and consists in admitting air through the core to the hollow spaces of the blocks. As shown in Fig. 2, the core shaft c is hollow and carries a hollow chamber e through which the air passes into a chamber d furnished with exit apertures f. The section d is removable. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which a narrow chamber g, forming an extension of an air tube h, is arranged between parts of a divided core, such chamber being furnished with exit apertures i or a slit.
