1536506 Preventing formation of hotspots BERGWERKSVERBAND GmbH 8 Nov 1976 [7 Nov 1975] 46357/76 Heading BIL A method of preventing hotspots in an adsorber 5 containing carbon used for desulphurising gases from furnace 1 when the adsorber is not operating comprises feeding a gas which is free of oxygen or contains a maximum of 15% oxygen by volume from 18 so that it circulates via cooler 17 through the adsorber 5 and maintains at least atmospheric pressure where it circulates.
