Abstract

1536408 Automatic voltage control SIEMENS AG 24 Dec 1975 [27 Dec 1974] 52771/75 Headings G3R and G3X [Also in Division H2] In a DC-DC converter having automatic voltage regulation by monitoring the output voltage and using the error to control the keying ratio of a switching device such as transitor Tsl, an additional feed-forward regulator is included comprising a capactitor Cr charged from the input voltage Ue via a resistor R1 and via a constant-current source Ts3 and periodically discharged, the sawtooth voltage being preferably compared with the error from the closed loop regulator RV so as to provide further control of keying ratio in dependence on variation in input voltage Ue. As described, each sawtooth voltage developed across Cr is terminated by a pulse generator T which periodically turns on a discharging transistor Ts2. The comparison is achieved by a Schmitt trigger S feeding an AND gate M the output of which is coupled via a driver LV to the chopping transistor Ts1.
