Abstract

1528530 Pipe couplings CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO 20 Oct 1976 [29 March 1976] 43551/76 Heading F2G A collet 34 for a hose coupling is provided with a series of ridges on its internal surface which is disposed generally parallel to the longitudinal axis. The collet is used in association with a hose made up from inner and outer elastomeric layers 22, 26 with an intermediate wire wrap 24 which is bared at the end of the hose to engage with the collet; the bore end being clamped between the collet and a nipple 14 having annular corrugations 20.
