Abstract
1513057 Electrical treatment SLIM MASTER BEAUTY EQUIPMENT (SALES) Ltd 15 Dec 1975 [2 Oct 1975] 40844/75 Heading A5R [Also in Division B4] In a method of epilation, radio frequency energy is applied to a hair between its ends thus cauterising the hair root and permitting its ready withdrawal, the energy being supplied by way of a radio frequency transmission line of such length as to optimise the transfer of energy from the generator to the hair. A pair of tweezers for applying the radio frequency energy to the hair and removing the hair is connected by at at least one of its jaws 2 to an R.F. generator, Figure 4 (not shown) by a coaxial cable 3. The jaws are embedded in a bifurcated body 1 made from or coated with an insulating material. A tongue 4, on one limb, extending into a slot 5, on the other limb, maintains the jaws in the same plane during use.
