Abstract

1509232 Removing liquids from textiles SANDOZ Ltd 11 April 1975 14955/75 Heading D1L In the removal of liq. from textiles by passage through the nip of a pair of rollers, one or both of the rollers 5, 7 is provided with a covering 6 or an endless belt passing therearound comprising a sponge material having pores of average diameter less than 1mm, at least 50% being in the range 0.001- 0.1 mm, the roller pressure being less than 1 kg/cm roller length, e.g. less than 100 gm/cm. As shown in Fig. 4 the absorbed liq. may be removed by suction into the interior of the roller 7.
