Abstract

1508192 Pointers SAB BRAKE REGULATOR CO Ltd 23 Feb 1976 [21 Feb 1975] 7427/75 Heading G1J [Also in Division F2] A vehicle wheel brake lining wear indicator pointer is mounted on a splined S-cam-shaft 4 of an internal expanding wheel brake provided with an adjuster 2; the pointer comprises a finger portion 5 and an apertured hub portion 15 for passage of shaft 4, the pointer being formed with a plastically deformable tongue 5A for protruding into one groove in the splined S-cam-shaft. A washer and nut or spring circlip retains the pointer and the adjuster 2 on the shaft. Pointer may be of metal or plastics.
