Abstract
In the case of asynchronous machines having a double squirrel-cage rotor, the problem of good dissipation of the heat losses is solved in that some of the operating bars (7, 7b, 7c) are lengthened and are electrically conductively connected to air guide rings (9). Furthermore, the starting bars (7a) are electrically conductively connected to either the operating bars or to rings (8, 15), the successive starting bars being arranged symmetrically between the operating bars. The rotor electrical resistance in the transverse direction is increased. As a result of these measures, it is possible to dispense with an internal fan. This construction allows good heat dissipation and an increase in power with a simple design. <IMAGE>
