Abstract

1427986 Shearing J BROTHERS and W J PUZIA 17 May 1973 [23 May 1972] 23608/73 Addition to 1359572 Heading B3W The tool described in Specification 1,359,572 is modified in that it comprises a U-shaped body 250, Fig. 1, which is adapted to removably receive an elongate handle 252 for rotating the body 250 away from the strapping to cause the severing edge 256 on the body to sever the strapping. In one embodiment, a V-shaped severing edge 256 is formed at one end of the body 250 which has turned in side walls 258 to define a trackway 260 for receiving the strapping and handle 252. In another embodiment, Fig. 2, the body includes an aperture 210 and an aperture 218 defined by a V-shaped severing edge 216 in a web portion 214.
