Abstract

1426898 Scraper boxes D M JONES 4 July 1974 [11 July 1973] 33045/73 Heading E1F A tractor-mountable, open top and open fronted, load-carrying box can be converted into a scraper by swinging the bottom 14 of the box about its hinged connection 15 with the rear wall of the box up between the side walls 11, 13 of the box until it lies against and is held against the rear wall to form a scraper blade. Preferably the rear wall is secured to a bracket that permits of the box being secured to the draft linkage of a tractor and permits of locking of the bottom against the rear wall when a pin 21 is passed through a lug 20 on the bracket after the lug has passed through a slot in the bottom. The bottom may be of greater area than the rear wall.
