Abstract
1419491 Aluminium alloy BRITISH ALUMINIUM CO Ltd 31 Jan 1973 [1 Nov 1971] 50661/71 Heading C7A A heat-treatable aluminium-base alloy comprises by weight:- the balance being aluminium impurities and grainrefining elements e.g. 0.02% titanium. Alloys at the lower end of the magnesium range are strong and weldable; higher magnesium contents make the alloy suitable for roller or extended armour. The zirconium is effective in restricting recrystallization and retaining a fibrous structure.
