Abstract

1417715 Aerials TRIPLEX SAFETY GLASS CO Ltd 7 Nov 1973 [14 Nov 1972] 52577/72 Heading H4A A vehicle windscreen 11 comprising an aerial has in its upper part a row 16 of connected together open loops which are spaced from its upper edge and which are continued in at least one conductive straight horizontal arm 18. The row of loops is so located as to be substantially behind the vehicle rear view mirror 17. As described, there is also a second straight horizontal arm 19, and a straight vertical arm 14, but either or both of these may be omitted (Figs. 2 to 4, not shown). Connection to the aerial is made at a point 15 at the end of the arm 18. Alternatively, connection may be made to the end of either of the other arms, or to the row of loops. The conductive elements may be constituted by fired-on lines of suitable silver/fritink on a surface of the windscreen, or by fine wires in the interlayer of a laminated windscreen. Reference is made to Specification 1,145,367.
