Abstract
1417314 Heat-insulating board AIKOH CO Ltd 8 Jan 1973 [22 July 1972] 1019/73 Heading C3N [Also in Divisions B3 and C5] A board for covering a cast molten ingot in an ingot mould has a central portion which does not permanently expand upon heating and a peripheral portion that expands permanently upon heating to fill the air gap between the board and mould. The board may be a single layer or a double layer construction of an exothermic layer and an insulating layer containing in per cent wt. The example discloses an exothermic single layer board containing in wt. per cent. Aluminium 8 Ferrous Oxide 16 Alumina 38 Cellulosic material derived from paper 10 Asbestos 6 Carbonized rice husks 12 Cryolite 3 Phenol-formaldehyde resin 7 The peripheral heat expandable layer comprises by wt. per cent Vermiculite 50 Cellulosic material derived from paper 6 Wood meal 5 Diatomaceous earth 10 SiO 2 sand 23 Phenol-formaldehyde resin 6 1417318 Peptides AKZO NV 30 Jan 1973 [8 Feb 1972] 4646/73 Heading C3H Novel compounds I in which X is OH or NH 2 or a dimer thereof (via -S-S- bridge) or functional derivatives thereof are prepared by conventional methods of peptide chemistry. Intermediates isolated are: Z-cys(B 2 )- tyr-OMe; Z-cys(B 2 )-tyr-OH; H-gluasp(OB 2 )-OB 2 .HCl; H-glu(OB 2 )-asp(OB 2 ) -OB 2 .HCl; H-Glu(OB 2 )Asp(NHCH 3 )-OB 2 . HCl; H-glu(OB 2 )-asn-OB 2 .HCl; H-gluasp(OB 2 )-NH 2 .HCl; H-glu-asp(OB 2 )-O (CH 3 or C 11 H 23 ); H-phe-glu-asn-OH; H-phe-glu-asp-OH; H-phe-glu-asp- OH; H-phe-glu-asp(NHCH 3 )-OH; H- phe - glu - asn - OH; H - phe - gluasp-NH 2 ; H-ph-glu-asp-N(CH 3 ) 2 ; H- ph-glu-asp-OCH 3 ; H-phe-glu-asp- OC 11 H 23 . Pharmaceutical compositions, useful as antidepressants, comprise a compound I or its dimer together with a suitable diluent or carrier and are administered enterally or parenterally.
