Abstract

1414625 Component assemblies AMERICAN PLASTICRAFT CO 23 Oct 1972 [28 Feb 1972] 48653/72 Heading H1R [Also in Division H2] A high voltage assembly comprises a voltage multiplier having diodes D1-D5 and capacitors C1-C5 mounted in a compartment in a casing 14 having barriers 23 and 51 forming separate compartments for a lead 22 from the high voltage input pulse terminal 21 and for a resistor 45 connected substantially across the high voltage output. The casing (preferably of polypropylene) is filled with compound having different dielectric and thermal properties from the barriers 23 and 51 so as to avoid corona. Plates 31, 32, 33 are included for positioning of components. Cooling fins 54 are included. References made to constant voltage gradients between components so as to minimize breakdown. The assembly is preferably for use in a colour TV receiver, resistor 45 forming a potential divider for a focusing voltage.
