As shown, a rack 7 on the press ram 4 drives a pinion 8 connected via an articulated shaft 11 of adjustable length to a drive shaft 10. A gear 12 on the shaft 10 meshes with a gear 13 on a shaft 14 on which is fixed a crank 15. A block 16 adjustable along the crank is slidable along a slot 17 in a shaft 18 pivoted at one end to the frame 9 of the work removing device and to a link 19 pivoted to a conveyer 20 at the other end. The conveyer 20 is movable along a guideway 23 and comprises parallel fingers 24 easily replaceable for different workpieces. The guideway is mounted on a frame 22 vertically adjustable relative to the frame 9 by means of supports 21. The frame 26 of a secondary conveyer 27, which comprises endless belts 28 arranged alternately with the fingers 24, is pivoted to the frame 22 at 25 and is raised by a piston device 29 to lift a workpiece off the fingers against the action of magnets or suckers on the fingers. From the conveyer 27 workpieces are carried suspended from a magnetic conveyer 30 to a stack 31.
