Abstract

1467901 Stabilized polyesteramides DYNAMIT NOBEL AG 26 April 1974 [26 April 1973] 18512/74 Heading C3R A stabilized polyesteramide derived from (a) 2,2 - dimethyl - 1,3 - propanediol as the only glycol present, (b) a dicarboxylic acid and (c) an aliphatic diprimary diamine and/or a #- aminocarboxylic acid and/or a lactam, is prepared in the presence of a stabilizing mixture of (A) phosphorous acid and/or an alkyl or aryl ester thereof, (B) triphenylphosphine and (C) a sterically hindered phenol. The stabilizing mixture is preferably present in an amount of from 0À1 to 0À5% by weight, based onthepolyesteramido-forming starting materials. The examples describe preparing polyesteramides from adipic acid 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol and hexamethylene diammonium adipate using stabilizing mixtures comprising (A) phosphorous acid or trinonylphosphite, (B) triphenylphosphine and (C) 2,6-di-isopropylphenol, 2,6- di - tert - butylphenol, 4,41 - methylene - bis- (2,6 - di - tert - butylphenol), 2,2<SP>1</SP>- methylenebis - (4 - methyl - 6 - tert - butylphenol) or # - (3,5 - di - tert - butyl - 4 - hydroxyphenyl)- priopionic acid ester of pentaerythritol.
