Abstract
1465422 Coloured lime BANYASZATI KUTATO INTEZET and KOMAROM MEGYEI ALLAMI EPITOIPARI VALLALAT 20 Feb 1975 [21 Feb 1974] 7181/75 Heading C1H Coloured lime, suitable for mortar for plastering and decoration, is formed by intensively mixing oxidic or other colourant with water to form a film of water around the colourant particles, passing the mass of colourant and water through a first disaggregator, where the colourant is comminuted, feeding the resultant water-colourant mixture, while either initially providing the main water or in subsequent topping-up operations providing make-up water, into a lime-slaking device, passing the resultant coloured lime through a second disaggregator to comminute the lime, the rate of flow through the second disaggregator, the throughflow period and the temperature arising being such that the coloured lime is brought to a thixotropic, gelatinous state. Examples 1 to 3 describe the production of various coloured limes and Example 4 a mortar containing the lime produced in Example 1 together with sand, portland cement, and mica.
