Abstract

1462257 Ink ribbons; preventing forgery LITTON INDUSTRIES Inc 6 June 1974 [11 June 1973] 25257/74 Headings B6F and B6A A printing ribbon comprises areas of different colours, at least one area having two superimposed layers of differently coloured inks. A first coloured ink 12 may be applied all over the ribbon while the second ink 13 is applied in selected areas over the first ink. The areas may be diagonal stripes. At least one of the inks, for example the first ink 12, may be a migrating ink. The ribbon causes printed lines to be in varying colours, the characters printed by the superimposed inks being of non-uniform hue.
