Abstract

1450905 Blister packs SANDOZ Ltd 3 Dec 1973 [7 Dec 1972] 55867/73 Heading B8C A child resistant multiple blister pack comprises a blister cover 12 having a flanged surround about each blister, a rupturable blister closure 28 removably secured to the flanged surrounds, a non-rupturable closure 14 secured to the closure 28, tear lines 18 between adjacent blisters, and a difficultly accessible or recognizable closure pull tab 20 becoming exposed when a single blister package is torn off from the pack. There may be a single circular aperture 24 through the surrounds at the corners of four packs, the part of the closure 14 covering the aperture forming a tab 20 for each pack when the pack is torn off. A strip of the rupturable closure 28 is torn off when the closure 14 is removed, and the rest of the closure 28 acts as retention means for a tablet within the blister until it is pushed out.
