Abstract

1442341 Fuel injection IC engines AUTOMOBILES M BERLIET 11 Oct 1973 [25 Oct 1972] 47454/73 Heading F1B The injector 4 in the cylinder head 3 is offset from the axis 10 of the combustion chamber which is in turn offset from the piston axis 6. The injector holes have different diameters and angular orientations which are calculated such that at the fuel supply pressure the end of each jet remote from the corresponding hole just reaches the wall of the combustion chamber to provide the same mixture richness at the end of each jet.
